Waiting For Vassar - Tony Rice

The Live "Waiting On Vassar" is a treat for us who enjoyed the version on the David Grisman Rounder album. I chose this Tony Rice break as it contains the coolest elements of his style- Clarence White flavored breathtaking rhythmic phrasing, strong bluesy bluegrass lines, and his always amazingly clear execution.

I am again struck by the inadequacy of notation to convey the subtleties needed to get the music across-the syncopated line at bars 5-8 would require some insane algebraic ratios to be totally accurate (I refer the fearless among you to the "The Frank Zappa Guitar Book" published by Hal Leonard), but to save you a trip to the slide rule Iíve ëquantizedí it to be readable.
